Summit trip to a plane wreck. Skorve is one of the highest mountains in Seljord, with two peaks: Mount Gøysen (1,370 m) and Mount Nordnibba (1,365 m). During WWII two planes crashed into the mountain.

These tragic events took place in autumn 1944. One was an Allied aircraft on a mission to drop arms to the Norwegian home front. Only a month later another plane crashed into the mountain, this time in Hestnutan a few kilometres to the north west. The aircraft was a German passenger plane. Remains of the wrecks still lie there as a reminder of the battles that took place in Telemark.
